Our Next Instructor at our conference will be Kim Cavender. What a wonderful person and great teacher she is. Here is what HER class will be all about.
Claying Organically
By
Kim Cavender

Kim Cavender
Explore the joys of working with organic shape, form and design and discover how freeing it can be to put aside the quest for perfection (at least during this class). You’ll explore fabulous colors, texture, asymmetry, and imperfect forms that you’ll combine into “perfectly” organic jewelry pieces of your own design. This technique-based class will give you brand new and exciting avenues to explore along your personal polymer clay journey.

Jana Roberts Benzon
Jana will be one of our four instructors at the Clayathon! She is an amazing artist and I am proud to call her a dear friend. This year at the pre-Synergy workshops she is introducing her Laser-Cut Pendant technique. I am happy to say that THIS will be the class she will be sharing at the Clayathon!
‘Laser Cut Pendant’ Workshop Description
Jana Roberts Benzon
In this exciting workshop, you’ll learn Jana’s technique for what she’s labeled “Laser Cut”. Dramatic and geometric, with depth and seeming aged history, this technique lends itself to so many different types of jewelry or artwork. Learn to create pieces that have an old world, or even ancient feel, with delicate and yet bold dimensional detailing. As you create your pendant in class (with the shape of your choosing…circle, square, diamond..whatever!), you’ll see how much fun this new and innovative technique is to play with! You can bring your own canes (such as flowers, leaves, and/or wood grain) to the workshop to implement into your pendant, or use canes that Jana will provide. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to learn this brand new technique!

for the first class teaser I would like to introduce Lisa Pavelka.

What you say? That isn’t Lisa? No, it isn’t but it is the end product of what she will be teaching.
Mixed Media Metallics
This workshop will teach the basics of working with Art Clay Silver to create elements from Fine Silver. The finished silver component will be combined with faux art glass made using polymer clay and resin. Students will have a variety of shapes and backgrounds to work with toward the completion of the project which is suitable for use as a pendant or brooch.
————————————————————————————————————————–
That got your interest now didn’t it? Stay tuned. More class teaser will be forthcoming.
